Mildred "Millie" Holton Walden

Mrs. Mildred “Millie” Holton Walden was embraced in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, September 8, 2024. She was 91.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at First Baptist Church Level Plains, 8189 Co Rd 1, Enterprise, AL 36330, with Reverend Ken Carter and Pastor Tim Bradley officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am and continuing until service time.

Millie was born on June 16, 1933 in Macon, Georgia to the late John Wesley and Lena Livingston Holton. In her younger years Millie worked as a Key Punch Operator at Warner Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins Georgia. Being an Air Force spouse, she traveled many places not only in the United States, but internationally as well. Millie was an active member of her church and the Ladies Gideon Auxillary for many years. She enjoyed many hobbies, some of which included needle point crafts, fishing, reading, gardening, bowling and cooking. Her cooking was loved not only by her family but her community as well, with great emphasis being placed on her magnificent fried corn bread.

In addition to her parents, her husband, John Curtis Walden; three brothers, two sisters, and one infant son all preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children: Marty Walden (Elaine) of Level Plains, Gail Bradley (Mike) of Level Plains, Renee Tristan (Mimo) of Wicksburg; seven grandchildren: John Walden, Brian Walden, Michael Walden (Jessy), Tim Bradley (Kayla), Kevin Bradley (Courtney), Leah Stamaris, Austin Cameron; great-grandchildren: Lauren Stamaris, Kylie Bledsoe, Spencer Bradley, Christian Walden, Maddilyn Smith.
