Mr. Mickey Mason Sergeant passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was 75 years old.

Memorialization will be cremation with a Celebration of Life to be held at Mickey’s residence on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 4:00 PM for family and friends.

Mickey was born in Alma, Michigan, on March 1, 1951, to the late Ray and Louis Fay Sergeant. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Sergeant, and his brother, Randy Sergeant.

Mickey proudly served his country in the US Army for 24 years as a helicopter pilot. He fought for his country in the Vietnam War, and although he was never one to brag about his achievements, he amassed numerous medals over his military career. Some of those include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award), National Defense Service Medal (2nd Award), Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, and the Humanitarian Service Medal.

In his free time Mickey developed several hobbies including model airplanes and model trains, as well as woodworking, leaving behind several treasured pieces of furniture for his family.

Mickey loved his country, but he also loved his family. He leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Cathy Sergeant; children, Kimberly Sergeant, Jennifer Bailey (Zachary Griffin), and Chitquitita “Chick” Harden, all of Enterprise, and Brandi Johnson and Chess Sergeant, both of Dothan. He is also survived by his siblings, Terry Sergeant of Enterprise and Theanne Sergeant of Las Vegas, Nevada; and four grandchildren, Tristan Cumbest, Gavin Swain, Samantha Bailey, and Makayla Bailey.
