Michael John Duffy

Michael John Duffy, of Enterprise, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019. He was 70. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise with Rev. Alan Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday beginning at 1:00 and continuing until service time. Michael was born August 14, 1948 in Fall River, MA. He entered the military August 30, 1965, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam and earning the Bronze Star and Meritorious Service Medal. He retired after 23 years of service. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillian Duffy; son, Michael J. Duffy, Jr; brother, James Duffy; and parents, Margaret and John Duffy. Survivors include his wife, Helen Duffy; children: Dawn Duffy, Tammy Taylor Quimby (Chris), Tony Taylor (Linda), and Skip Taylor (Benita); brother, Kenneth Duffy (Julie); sister, Sheila Foskett (Alan); grandchildren: Skylar Quimby, Chase Quimby, Spencer Quimby, Colton Stokes, Peyton Stokes, Austin Filiault, Michael Taylor, Austin Taylor, Brittany Griffin, Matthew Taylor, Meagan Farris.
