Mary "Joyce" (Crocker) Griswold

Mary "Joyce" (Crocker) Griswold was born on October 6, 1944 in Enterprise, Alabama and she passed away on May 10, 2024 after a battle with Parkinson’s disease. Joyce was 79.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband Anthony Griswold, her son’s Erik Griswold (Michelle) and Tim Griswold (Anay), daughter Amanda Chandler (Lee), one brother Mike Crocker (Emily) and two grandsons Austin Griswold (Annie) and Andrew Griswold.

Joyce studied Physical Education at Troy University, was very active, and she was an artist. She spent much of her time drawing. Even at the end she found a way to smile and laugh, by mooning Anthony in her hospital gown as he followed her down the hall. Joyce will be remembered for her wild hair, her wild laugh and her fervor for life and all its opportunity.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Tommy Crocker.

A graveside service for Joyce will be held on Wednesday May 15, 2024 at 10:00 at Old Tabernacle Cemetery located at 11867 Alabama 51 New Brockton, Alabama 36351 with Reverend Steve Comer officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home directing.
