Martha Cook Adkison

Mrs. Martha Cook Adkison of Enterprise, Alabama, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024. She was 58.

Memorial services honoring the life of Mrs. Adkison will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Pastor Greg Adkins officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am and continuing until service time.

Martha was born August 30, 1966, in Ozark, Alabama, to the late Annie Mearl Shirah and Wiliam Arnie Cook. She truly loved life. Her love for her family and people could always be seen by the beautiful smile she wore, even in the midst of pain. In addition to her parents, her stepfather, Leroy Shirah, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband whom she loved more than life, Anthony “Tony” Adkison; stepdaughter, Brittni Hoaks (Clint) of Milford, Illinois; siblings, Tracy Allen Cook (Jan) and Callie Mae Barefield, both of Ozark; step-grandchildren, Raennah’ Heldreth and Hagen Hoaks; sisters-in-law, Teri Adkison, Rebecca Adkins (Ennis) and Monika Herrington (Scott); several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her beloved fur babies.
