Marjorie I Farnum

Mrs. Marjorie I. Farnum of Enterprise, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022.

A memorial service will be at held at Green Hill Presbyterian Church in Enterprise on January 15, 2023, at 12:30 p.m.

Mrs. Farnum was born December 29, 1921, in Maine to the late Robert and Mary Lee.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John H. Farnum; sister, Claudine Lee Hopper (Lou); brother, Richard Lee; and nieces, Mindy Lee and Laura Lee.

Marjorie learned to play golf at age 40, and she played every day until age 88.  She was an avid golfer and had two holes-in-one.  She was an ardent animal lover and “card-carrying member” of the SPCA.

Marjorie was an exceptionally talented pianist and served as choir director and pianist at Green Hill Presbyterian Church for many years.  She continued to amaze people with her ability until one week before her death.  She died two days before her 101st  birthday.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Nieten; granddaughter, Pam McDonald; great-granddaughter, Carlie Lewis; nieces, Janet Lumley and  Donna Rogers; and nephews, Robert Lee and Rick Lee.
