Marilyn Soares

Marilyn D. Soares of Enterprise passed away Friday, November 18, 2022 at the age of 89.

Funeral services will be graveside at 2PM Tuesday November 22,2022 at Damascus Church Cemetery with Rev. Mike Medley officiating.

Marilyn was born in Coffee County, Alabama on February 9, 1933 to the late Gary and Gertrude Danford.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Pete Danford. She worked for over thirty years in civil service and longer than that taking care of all the cats she could.

She is survived by her children, Larry Soares of Enterprise Alabama, David (Tamra) Soares of Hudson Wisconsin, and Sharon (Jeff) Raglan of Athens, Alabama. Marilyn is also survived by two sisters, Ann Waters of Enterprise, Alabama and Jane (Bob) Lewis of Nanjemoy, Maryland; and her grandson, Derrick Cook of Foley, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Ms. Soares’ name to SOS Animal Shelter  at 25944 AL-134, Enterprise, Alabama 36330.
