Marie P. Singleton

Mrs. Marie P. Singleton of Enterprise, Alabama, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025. She was 94 years old.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Dr. Olivia Poole officiating. Burial will follow at Old Center Methodist Church Cemetery, 764 County Road 89 Newville, Alabama, with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 AM and continuing until service time.

Mrs. Singleton was born in Perry County, Alabama, on October 23, 1931, to the late Henry and Mary Swindle Plummer. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, C.T. Singleton; sisters, Virginia Poe (Sam), Mamie Nichols, Polly Taylor (Gene), and Katie Ross; and brothers, Earnest Plummer (Tony Bell) and William Plummer.

Marie’s life exemplified serving others. For years she served her church, St. Luke Methodist, as a Kitchen Angel, as well as volunteering at her children’s school any chance she got. She also lovingly served her family, cooking delicious meals and keeping a meticulous house. Over her life she worked various jobs including as a tax assessor, a Hallmark Representative at Fort Rucker, and at Miller Plumbing & Electric. More than anything she loved her family and her husband of almost 74 years, C.T., the love of her life.

Survivors include her son, Randy Singleton (Nancy) of Enterprise; daughter, Pam Harrell (Ned) of Dora, Alabama; four grandchildren, Holly Koster (Sacha), Hope Moseley (Nicholas), Josh Flowers, and Drew Singleton; six great-grandchildren, Lyra Koster, Evie Koster, Declan Koster, Colt Moseley, Jackson Flowers, and Walter Flowers; sister, Minnie Boyce (Tom); numerous nieces and nephews; and her dearest friend, Teresa Boykin, whom she loved as a daughter and shared many happy times together.
