Marcus Dwain Nolin

Marcus Dwain Nolin, of New Brockton, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019. He was 79. Funeral services will be Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise with Pastor Greg Cotter officiating. Burial will follow in New Brockton City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:30 p.m. and continuing until time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations in memory of Mr. Nolin be made to Bethany Baptist Church Building Fund, 1805 County Road 533, New Brockton, AL 36351. Dwain was born July 14, 1939 in Coffee County, AL. He worked with contract services for 42 years at Fort Rucker where he held numerous offices with the IAM Local Union 2003 until his retirement. He served in the National Guard as well as active duty for one year. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jamie Eugene Nolin and Jessie Hines Nolin; brother, James Nolin; and two sisters: Glenna Austin and Jewel Oliver. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Willene Nolin; two sons: Keith Nolin (Cathy) of New Brockton, and Kenneth Nolin (Samantha) of Elba; two sisters: Alice Schwartz of Helen, GA and Jean Calhoun of Elba; three grandchildren: Millicent, Cameron, and Caitlyn; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends. The family wishes to thank the staff of Alacare /Southern Care Hospice for their loving, compassionate care.
