Lynne R. “Jack” Judah
September 27, 1935 – December 5, 2025
Lynne R. “Jack” Judah, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, as well as a patriot, passed away on December 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, after a lifetime marked by faithful service to his country and deep commitment to those he loved.
Lynne was born on September 27, 1935, in Garrison, New Mexico, to the late Lynne P. Judah and Ava Judah. He grew up in Portales, New Mexico, with his mother and stepfather, Wiley Andrew Adams. From an early age, he demonstrated a strong sense of duty and dedication that would define his life.
He devoted 27 years to service in the United States Army, retiring after an honorable career that included multiple tours of duty in Vietnam and other areas when called upon. He was a highly decorated veteran, receiving four Army Commendation Medals, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Presidential Unit Citation, Army of Occupation Medal, two Bronze Stars, five Air Medals, the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm device, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with three Silver Stars, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Lynne served his country with courage, integrity, and unwavering loyalty.
While he was proud of his military service, Lynne’s greatest devotion was to his family. He shared 52 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Linda H. Judah, who he meet while serving in Vietnam. His legacy is one of faithfulness, strength, and steadfast love.
In addition to his parents, Lynne was preceded in death by his brothers, Wiley Otho Adams and Robert Fitts, and his sisters, Trixie Lodean Adams and Daphne Dean Gonzales.
He is survived by his wife, Linda H. Judah; his children, Trang “Jackie” T. Ingalls, Kathy P. Hutto (Chris Velie), Maria Bussie, and Jeremiah O. Judah; as well as eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him great pride and joy.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receve friends one hour prior to the service. Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory is directing.
