Lorraine F. Barnes

Lorraine F. Barnes of Enterprise, AL went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. She was 70. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 3, 2019 at New Home Baptist Church with Reverend Cliff Quincey officiating and her son, Tater Barnes providing the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Barnes was born February 18, 1948 to the late Eugene and Ingeborg Yager. She is preceded in death by two siblings, Helen and Jack Yager. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. Survivors include, her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Tony Barnes; son, Tony “Tater” Barnes, Jr.; sister, Betty Yager; brothers: Gene Yager (Paula) and Bill Yager (Ana); two very special nieces, Kaitlyn Mock and Christina Morgan (Rod); her God daughter, Ginger Anderson; a host of other nieces, nephews and a legacy of wonderful and loved friends. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to:  New Home Baptist Church Benevolence Fund, 2734 County Road 617, Enterprise, AL 36330. The family would like to express a special thank you to all of the staff at Medical Center Enterprise as well as all the family and friends who provided such a loving and caring spirit during the sickness of Mrs. Lorraine
