Linda Frances Hardin, age 82, of Chancellor, Alabama, passed away on June 21, 2026.
Linda was born on June 2, 1944, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Melvin Fenwick and Sarah Snyder Fenwick. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker, Linda dedicated her life to caring for her family and creating a loving home. She found joy in making costumes for children, creating art, working in her yard, listening to music, and spending time with her beloved dog, “Wookie.”
Those who knew Linda will remember her caring spirit, creativity, and the love she poured into her family throughout her life. Her greatest happiness came from the people she loved and the home she nurtured.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Linda is survived by her husband of 64 years, Joallen Hardin; her son, Neal Hardin; her daughter, Melissa Swanson (Jason); her grandson, Aiden Harrell; and her brother, Ray Fenwick (Carol). She also leaves behind other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.
The family has chosen cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SOS Animal Rescue at 25944 AL-134 Enterprise, AL 36330 a cause that reflected Linda’s love for animals.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and staff who provided comfort and care during Linda’s final days.
Linda’s legacy of love, kindness, creativity, and devotion to her family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
