Lee Bruce Bertsch

Mr. Lee Bruce Bertsch, age 73, passed away at Flowers Hospital on February 4, 2023.  A Celebration of Life service will be held in Oregon.

Lee was a law enforcement officer, even serving as police chief for several years. He also served his community as a wildland firefighter, and worked as a mill wright. Lee loved to bow hunting, hiking, fishing and photography. He was a friend to everyone, and very generous; giving to many charities that focused their work on children. Lee also loved being a Dad and spending time with his family. His heart was in the Pacific Northwest and with God!

Lee was born February 3, 1950, to the late Bennie and Ruth Bertsch of North Dakota. Lee is survived by his children Shannon (Joseph) Gravon of Eugene, OR, Michael (Hannah) Bertsch of Dothan, AL, Leah Bertsch of Kelso, WA, and Alicia Perkins of Eugene, OR. Two brothers Terry Bertsch and Jim Bertsch both of Oakridge, OR, . 11 grandchildren Jasmine, Madison, Bella, Kashy, Kaytlynn, Hailee, Camden, Matthew, Olivia, Ella, and Micah. One great-grand son Carter.
