Katrena Lynn (Simmons) Starling

Katrena Lynn Starling, of Enterprise, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 at her residence surrounded by family.  She was 52.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise with Brother John Logsdon officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 9:00 a.m. and continue until time of service.

Katrena was born October 7, 1969 in Savannah, Georgia to Clyde Lee Simmons and Shellie A. Tanner Roberson.  She was preceded in death by her father; her sister, Tammy; her grandmother, Betty Mae Shoff Stephens; and two grandchildren, Zoe Rae and Liam Ray.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Enoch Starling; children, Ashley Starling and Zackery Starling, all of Enterprise; her mother, Shellie Roberson; brother, Daniel Simmons; sister, Paula Roberson Prince; and one grandchild, Faith Maelynn Starling.

Katrena loved to work with young children.  She was a devoted mother that volunteered at schools where her children attended.  She worked in the children’s ministry for many years followed by over a decade of service in the Boy Scouts.
