Katie B (Cooper) Wood

Katie Cooper Wood, of Enterprise, AL, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023 at her residence with her children by her side. She was 80 years old.

Graveside funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Meadowlawn cemetery in Enterprise, Alabama with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing.

Mrs. Wood was born August 7, 1942 in Alabama to the late Joseph C. and Mattie D. Peoples Cooper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven siblings.

Survivors include two children, Karen Pund (Ted) of Enterprise, Scott Wood of Enterprise; one brother, Harvey Cooper (Phyllis) of Florida; grandchildren: Brad (Mary) Newsom, Eric Newsom, Bill Pund, Jim Pund, Brittni Edwards, Brooke Wood, Lauren Stemle, Zach Wood; great-grandchildren: Samantha Newsom, Emily Newsom, Carter Edwards, Grant Edwards, Ryker Stemle.
