Johnnie Lee Powers

Mr. Johnnie Lee Powers passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Opp Health and Rehabilitation. He was 91 years old.

Memorialization will be by cremation with no services at this time.

Johnnie was born February 4, 1935, to the late Jessie and Linnie Rodgers Powers. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Syble Powers; his son, David Keith Powers; brother, Billy Dean Powers; and sisters, Pat Powers and Joann Blazier. Johnnie proudly served his country in the US Navy for 20 years before retiring. He went on to work as a service manager in the automotive industry. He loved to fish, but more than anything he loved his family.

He is survived by two sons, Steve Daniel Powers of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, and Dean Powers (Debbie) of Daleville; one daughter, Pam P. Lolley (Dr. Dean Lolley) of Hoover; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
