Jo Ann Tice

Mrs. Jo Ann Tice of Enterprise, Alabama, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 18, 2025. She was 93 years old.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Reverend Karl Hudson and Reverend Greg Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 AM and continuing until service time.

Jo Ann was born August 4, 1931, in Ozark. She devoted many hours to caring for her home and flower gardens, and she worked tirelessly for many years in the family business and farm. She was a longtime, active member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and regularly attended Refuge Church in Enterprise.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Charles Tice, Sr.; brother, Michael Bogner; parents, Virgie Moore Bogner and Joseph Michael Bogner, Sr.; and daughter-in-law, Kathy Tice.

Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Maxwell (Jim) of Woodway, Texas; son, Chuck Tice (Jennifer Reid) of Enterprise; two grandchildren, Kellie Maxwell Bartlett (Tom) of Austin, Texas, and Chuck Tice (Chasity Cosper) of Enterprise.

She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Emma Jo Tice and Charley Ann Tice, both of Enterprise, and Henry Maxwell Bartlett of Austin, Texas; sister-in-law, Sara Davis of Alma, Georgia; and three special great-grandchildren, Landon Cosper and Rylee Cosper of Enterprise, and Baylee Turvin of Dothan.

Also left to cherish her memory is her very special friend, Sue Barley; good friends, Debbie Kennedy and Annette Couch; “honorary grandchildren” Pat and Sandy Smith; and friend and caregiver, Debbie Turbeville; along with many other wonderful friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
