Jimmy Dean Rodgers

Jimmy Dean Rodgers, of New Brockton, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018 at Flowers Hospital. He was 67. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Pastor Eric Bradley and Rev. Mike Medley officiating. Burial will follow in McGee Cemetery in New Brockton with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6 – 8 p.m. Jimmy was born January 30, 1951. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Joseph Rodgers; brother, Joseph Rodgers; niece, Brandy Danley; and nephew, Phillip Rodgers. Survivors include daughter, Nikki Padilla (Thomas) of Enterprise; son, Josh Rodgers (Amanda) of New Brockton; mother, Clara Mae Dowd Rodgers of New Brockton; mother of his children, Gayle Rodgers of Enterprise; brother, Jacky Rodgers (Mary) of New Brockton; six sisters: June Wallace (Levarl) of Goodman, Janet Skirde (Fred) of New Brockton, Jennifer Kyser (Farrell) of New Brockton, Julia Sanders (Mike) of Elba, Jeanine Danley of New Brockton, and Jessica Hays of Elba; five grandchildren: Sophia, Leila, JC, Isabella, and Giuliana; several nieces and nephews.
