Jesse D Howell

Jesse D Howell of Enterprise passed away Friday, January 26, 2024. He was 40.

Funeral services with cremation to follow will be at 4PM on Monday, January 29, 2024 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday prior to the service beginning at 2PM and continuing until service time.

Jesse was born September 7, 1983 to Mr. James L Howell and Mrs. Virginia Runyan. He was preceded in death by his father, and numerous dogs that he loved. Jesse was raised in Patterson LA where he developed a love for hunting, fishing, camping, and really anything outdoors. He had the biggest heart and a smile that lit up any room. He was known to many as the “crazy Cajun” that could lay a tree down anywhere.

Survivors include his mother Genny Stewart, his nephew Gabe Howell who was more like a son, brother Clay Howell and two sisters Kaitlyn Gulledge (Layne) and Amanda Stewart. His grandmother Peggy Teems, his niece Riley Gulledge, many aunts, uncles, cousins and a very special companion, his dog, Apollo.

Because of Jesse's love for strays, the family ask that in lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to SOS Animal Shelter 25944 AL-134, Enterprise, AL 36330.
