Jerry Wilson Reese

Jerry Wilson Reese, 84, of Enterprise, Alabama, died on October 19, 2026. Born in Virginia, Jerry worked hard throughout his life and served his country in the United States Army. He spent his working years as an auto mechanic, a fitting career for a man who loved cars.

More than anything, Jerry loved his wife, Sandra. They shared a special affection for Daytona Beach, a place they loved to visit together. Their life together was filled with the things they enjoyed, and those trips to the beach held a treasured place in Jerry’s heart. He was also especially proud of the Corvette he bought brand new; a car that brought together his love of automobiles and the memories he and Sandra shared.

Sandra preceded Jerry in death in December 2023. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and his granddaughter Angel.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Christina Fitzwater (Chris); his son, Jerry W. Reese II (Cathy); his grandchildren, Katelyn Reese, Zachary Cousins (Tori), Christina Blair, Faith Fitzwater, Casandra Fitzwater, Mary Fitzwater; and his sister, Susan Suitt (Pete).

Jerry enjoyed cars, guns, knives, and the simple things of life. Those who knew him will remember a hardworking man who valued the things he loved and the people closest to him.

At a later time, the family will gather at Daytona Beach to remember Jerry and Sandra. Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise is honored to serve the family.
