James Volley Perkins, Jr.

James Volley Perkins, Jr. of Enterprise, Alabama passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022.  He was 91.

Memorialization will be by cremation.

James was born July 18, 1930 in Jefferson County, Alabama to the late James Volley and Genia Perkins, Sr.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sisters, Imogene Perkins, Inez Bailey, Billie Carlisle and Peggy Prish; and brother, Wesley Eugene Perkins.  He served in the U.S. Army for over 21 years and was in the Vietnam War twice and the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Verna Perkins of Enterprise, AL; daughters, Janice Green of Dothan, AL, Kathy Perkins of Enterprise, AL, Jamie Kurilla (Thomas) of Enterprise, AL, Jeanie Anderson (Richard) of Florida, and Cynthia Gardner of Enterprise, AL; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
