James Hayes (Jim) White Sr.

James (Jim) Hayes White Sr., of Elba, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Southeast Health. He was 76. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2018 at Whitewater Baptist Church in Elba with Brother Donnie Marler and Brother Johnny Belcher officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Friday beginning at 1:00 and continuing until service time. Jim was born April 7, 1942, in Coffee County, to the late Foy Tillis White and Mary Una Spurlin White. He was a member of Whitewater Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Margarette White of Elba; two sons: Hayes White (Donna) of Elba and Randy White (Connie) of Elba; three grandsons: Jamey White (Samantha) of Elba, Joey White of Elba, and Hunter White of Enterprise; granddaughter, Keagan Winters (Chanse) of Enterprise; four great-grandchildren: Harper White, Hadlee White, Chloe Winters, and Greyson White.
