Hildegund Anna (Bӧhner) Mathis

Anna Mathis passing on December 15, 2024, at the age of 73, has left a significant void in the hearts of her family and friends. She was a vibrant and beloved individual who touched the lives of many.

Born on January 15, 1951, in Schweinfurt, Germany, she dedicated her life to enjoying every moment and making meaningful connections with others. Anna's adventurous spirit was evident in her love for travel, dancing, meeting new people, and cherishing her friendships. She was deeply devoted to her family and her pets, often finding joy in gatherings with the German Wives' Club and luncheons with friends. Anna's warmth and friendliness made her approachable, and she had a remarkable talent for striking up conversations with anyone she met.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Reinhold and Stefanie Bӧhner; sister, Ruth; and brother, Hans-Dieter.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Harvey; their sons, Dany (Dila) and John-Talmage “JT”; and her beloved fur-babies, Buster and Annie. Anna's legacy of love and joy will continue to resonate with all who knew her.

A memorial service will take place Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 6PM in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends from 5PM until service time.
