Hien Van Nguyen

Hien Van Nguyen (Gioakim), of Enterprise, Alabama, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022 at his residence surrounded by family. He was 76.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Enterprise with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing and Father Zachary Greenwell officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 5, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.

Mr. Nguyen was born March 26, 1946 in Vietnam to the late Tho Van Nguyen and Le Thi Nguyen. During his lifetime he worked for the American Military in Vietnam which would soon pave the way for him to be able to bring his family to the United States, a Country which he loved dearly. Hien was a hard worker and a provider for his family. He had many talents which ranged from a mechanic, electrical knowledge, plumbing knowledge as well as many more. He also had a passion for gardening and a genuine love for people.

Survivors include his wife, Hue Thi Nguyen; children: Tuan Van Nguyen and wife Sen Thi Nguyen, Van Thi Nguyen and husband Hoang Ngoc Nguyen, Phuong Van Nguyen and wife Thom Thi Nguyen, Hai Van Nguyen and wife Thai Thanh Thi Nguyen; two sisters: Vinh Thi Nguyen, Nghia Thi Nguyen;  grandchildren: Phi Nguyen, Thanh Nguyen, Tran Nguyen, Hoa Nguyen, Huy Nguyen, Hiep Nguyen, Son Nguyen, Dang Nguyen, Anna Nguyen, Johnny Nguyen; great-grandchildren: Ngoc Nguyen, My Nguyen, Long Nguyen, Lan Nguyen.
