Hidehito Matsunaga

Mr. Hidehito Matsunaga of Enterprise, Alabama passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025 at his residence with his loving wife of 43 years by his side. He was 70.

Funeral services with cremation to follow will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 3, 2025 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise. The family will receive friends on Friday prior to the service beginning at 1:30 pm and continuing until service time.

Hidehito was born August 23, 1955 in Hokkaido, Japan to the late Gingo and Sizue Matsunaga. He was a member of the Family Federation for World Peace. Mr. Matsunaga loved nature and the outdoors. He was strong in his faith and enjoyed several hobbies some of which included: bike riding, gardening, fishing, road trips, working on his cars, and being a resourceful problem solver.

Survivors include his wife, Asako Matsunaga; children: Young-Kook Matsunaga of Baumholder, Germany, Inmi Brandsema (Edward Brandsema) of Birmingham, AL, Jin-Mi Matsunaga of Washington D.C., Ka-Jong Matsunaga (Dillan Simmons) of Dothan, AL, Hong-Kook Matsunaga of Las Vegas, NV; and one sister, Keiko Matsunaga of Japan.
