Helen M. Rhew

Helen M. Rhew, of Ozark, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Dale Medical Center. She was 88. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2019 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Rev. Johnny Belcher officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 and continuing until service time. Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to S.O.S. Animal Shelter, 25944 AL-134, Enterprise, AL 36330. Helen was born June 3, 1931, in Chicago, IL to the late Ennis and Virginia Rhew. She was formerly of Largo, FL, where she served as supervisor of the Tax Deed Office at Pinellas County Courthouse. An avid animal lover, she rescued several greyhounds and was a big contributor to the S.O.S. Animal Shelter in Enterprise. Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie Bright (Eddie) of Daleville, AL; grandchildren: Kelli Whitlock (Stephen) of Carrollton, GA and Richard Bright of Auburn, AL.
