Hazel L (Smith) Fairchild

Hazel L. Fairchild, of Enterprise, passed away Monday morning May 10, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was 88.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 13, 2021 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory in Enterprise with Reverend Peters officiating. Burial will follow in Daleville Memorial Gardens in Daleville, Alabama with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Enterprise directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 9:00 am and continuing until service time.

Hazel was born October 21, 1932 in Little River, Arkansas to the late Otis Kemp and Ola Edith Glover Smith. In addition to her parents, her husband, Francis Mel Fairchild, Sr. and son-in-law Hartwell Hubble preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children: Francis Mel Fairchild, Jr. (Charlotte), Terry L. Fairchild (Laura), Gail F. Hubble, Annette Thorpe (Rick); six grandchildren: Kimberly Ingram, Kristy Watson, Jennifer Munroe, Stacey Gomez, Ricki Thorpe, Matthew Fairchild; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
