Guy Johnson

Guy Johnson went home to Heaven on April 19, 2024. He fought a good fight during a recent illness. Guy was known for his contagious smile, quick wit, and sense of humor. He is surely healed, smiling, and praising Jesus with all the loved ones gone before him.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Monday, April 22, 2024 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Reverend Kit Johnson and Reverend Hubert McWaters officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Assembly of God Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am and continuing until service time.

He was most certainly a people person and happiest when surrounded by family and friends. Guy enjoyed fishing and gardening and loved showing off and sharing the bounty of his garden and orchards. He also enjoyed a good ‘ole fish fry, rocking on the porch, and rambling with his brother. It will not be the same without him.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. J.W. (Annie Lewis) Johnson, his wife of 56 years, Nina Sue Lolley Johnson, and brother, Roy Johnson. He is survived by his youngest brother Lewis Earl Johnson (Lois), sister-in-law, Annette Johnson; three sons: Steve Johnson of Ino, AL, Scott Johnson (Susan) of DeFuniak Springs, FL, Marshall Johnson of Enterprise, AL and daughter, Annie Hendrix (Wayne) of New Brockton, AL. He loved his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and especially his great-grands.

He will be missed until we meet again!
