Gladys Hildreth

Gladys Hildreth passed over to her glorious reward Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at 10:00 in the morning. She was 96 years old. She is the daughter of the late Melissa and John Shouppe of Chipley, Florida, and the wife of the late Reverend Wilson Homer Hildreth, an Evangelist of Enterprise, Alabama.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the Enterprise City Cemetery with Reverend Philip Box officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing.

Gladys was born in Graceville, Florida, on January 24, 1926, and lived with her husband in Orlando, Florida, when they were not traveling and ministering the Gospel of Jesus. Later, in 1993 they retired to Casselberry, Florida. Gladys enjoyed music and sang with her husband during his ministry.

Gladys Hildreth is preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Wilson Homer Hildreth; her oldest son, Byron Wilson Hildreth of Houston, Texas; her sister, Beatrice Taylor of Bonifay, Florida; and three brothers, Talmage, Buford, and Grady Shouppe of Eagle Lake, Florida.

Gladys Hildreth is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Brooker of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Mrs. Joyce King of Snow Camp, North Carolina; one son, musician, song writer, and singer, Mr. Ronald Hildreth of Casselberry, Florida; and one sister, Mrs. Merleen Harrison of Dothan, Alabama.
