Gerry Rosendahl

Gerry John Rosendahl, born on March 4, 1946, in Santa Barbara, California, passed away peacefully at his home in Daleville, Alabama, on September 17, 2024. He was 78 years old.

Gerry was a vibrant soul who cherished his family and friends deeply. He was an adventurous spirit, finding joy in scuba diving, surfing and riding his motorcycle across the United States, often accompanied by a group of fellow Vietnam Veterans. His service in the U.S. Navy shaped not only his character but also his profound sense of camaraderie and loyalty. Known for his quick wit and playful teasing, Gerry had a unique ability to bring laughter to those around him. He often expressed his love through acts of kindness, giving generously and anonymously, never seeking recognition for his deeds. His legacy of compassion and humor will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Gerry is preceded in death by his parents, Gerry and Genevieve Rosendahl.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Patti; his children, Marti Cobb (Thomas), Gerry L. Rosendahl (Audrey), Travis S. Rosendahl, Sammi Stewart (Matt) and Shane Williams; as well as 12 cherished grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
