George Leon Powers

George Leon Powers of Enterprise passed away Monday, September 14, 2020. He was 75.

Memorialization will be by cremation.

George was born June 12, 1945 in Missouri to the late George and Wanda Powers.  He retired from the Army as a Chief Warrant Officer 4 and was a highly decorated Vietnam helicopter pilot who was respected and admired by his peers.  He loved the ocean and flying.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Julia Powers of Enterprise, AL; sons, Matt Powers (Sonya) of Santa Rosa Beach, FL and Jason Powers of Enterprise, AL; sister, Donna Pinkerton (Ronald) of Missouri; sisters-in-law, Rita Mcvey (Brandon) and Deborah Henschel both of Missouri; and grandchildren, Sophie, Carlie, Sheppard and Samuel.
