Gary Hamilton

Gary Hamilton, of Dothan, Alabama passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023. He was 77. Memorialization will be by cremation with a memorial service with military honors at a later date.

Gary was born November 20, 1945 in Missouri to Edward C. Hamilton and Edith Burel. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joan, a sister Janet Strawhacker , a brother George Hamilton, a granddaughter Madelyn Hamilton, and a grandson Kyle Hamilton.  Gary was a loving father and grandfather. He was blessed to have a beautiful daughter April and three adopted sons. Gary loved to travel and throw a line in any water hole that he could. Gary Served over 20 years in the military serving two tours in Vietnam.

Survivors include a daughter April Hamilton, Iowa, three sons, Keith ( Sharon) Hamilton, Illinois, John ( Nancy) Hamilton, Iowa, Adam (Danielle) Hamilton, Enterprise, Al. One brother, Eddie Hamilton, Kansas, one sister, Kathy Davidson, Missouri, and ten Grandchildren, Keith, Christian, Bailey, Connor, Chase, Javier, Gary, Molly Joseph, and Edward.
