Frances B. Wingard

Mrs. Bula Frances Beasley Wingard of Enterprise, Alabama, passed away October 20, 2026, at Enterprise Health and Rehabilitation. She was 88 years old.

Memorialization will be by cremation with a private interment at Sardis Cemetery in Highland Home at a later date. There will also be a celebration of life at Sardis Church of Christ at a later date.

Frances was born October 1, 1938, in Crenshaw County, Alabama, to the late Frank and Mila Ruth Beasley. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack A. Wingard; sister, Ruthie Spears; niece, Robin Spears Rogers; and brother-in-law, Dave Roberson.

Mrs. Wingard was a Civil Service Retiree, where she performed as the Flight Records Manager at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama. She and her busband embarked on many adventures together, to include several convenience stores, a grocery store, motels, and even a concert venue. She was beloved by many. She was called by many names, to include Mother, Sister, Grandma, Mama Frances, Bula Mama, and friend. She spent her life trying to glorify God and her goal was to always make somebody smile. She was the life of the party. She walked in and you knew she was present because her presence immediately filled the room with joy. Her smile was infectious, and she loved people in a very big way.

She is survived by her children, Brenda F. Ellis of Panama City, Florida, Glenda Sablan Watson (Doug) of Panama City, Florida, Rodney D. Robinson (Joni) of Thomaston, Georgia, Milinda “Susie” Robinson of Orion, Alabama, Jackie (J.J.) Ferguson (Richard) of Enterprise, Alabama, and Jack Andrew Wingard (Christina) of Clayton, Alabama; sister, Shirley Beasley Roberson of Montgomery, Alabama; grandchildren, Michael Sablan (Chris) of Callaway, Florida, Joe Watson of Tallahassee, Florida, and Thomas E. Ferguson (Angela) of Enterprise, Alabama; and great-grandchildren, Aubrey Sablan, Avalon Sablan, and Nathan Sablan. She also had many children and grandchildren that she raised as her own.
