Evelyn Gonzalez

Mrs. Evelyn Gonzalez passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham after an extended illness. She was 69 years old.

Memorialization will be by cremation with a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Evelyn was born June 18, 1957, in Newark, New Jersey, to the late Marcelino and Maria Cruz. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Miriam Cruz.

Evelyn was a faithful woman of God who genuinely loved people and was also loved by so many. She was the founding pastor of Casa de Dios Puerta del Cielo in Enterprise where she poured her love and devotion into the people she passionately cared for.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, William Gonzalez, and daughters, Erica Gonzalez Valentine (Ryan) and Selena Dupre (Ivan), both of Enterprise.

Her family will deeply miss her, but the legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire them for generations to come.
