Eugene "Gene" Foxworth

Eugene “Gene” Foxworth of Enterprise passed away Monday, January 31, 2022.  He was 83.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise with Reverend Kevin Bond officiating.  Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continue until time of service.  Donations may be made in his honor to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.

Gene was born December 18, 1938 in Florida to the late Crawford and Beatrice Foxworth.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Shannon Foxworth; son-in-law, Phillip Adkison; sister, Mildred Maurine Foxworth Myers; and sister-in-law, Sue Foxworth.  He loved his family and enjoyed fishing, gardening and bringing home animals.

Survivors include his son, Brian Foxworth of Enterprise, AL; daughter, Teri Adkison of Enterprise, AL; brothers, Talmadge Foxworth (Faye) of Ringgold, GA, Andy Foxworth of Geneva, AL, and Bill Foxworth (Diane) of Ringgold, GA; five grandchildren, Hannah Bertsch (Michael), Heather Salgado (Alex), Dustin Foxworth, Danielle Foxworth and Hayden Adkison; and four great-grandchildren, Olivia, Ella, Micah, Xane.
