Elliot Donell LeCompte

Elliot Donell LeCompte, age 80, of Coffee Springs, Alabama, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Bonifay, Florida.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory with Chaplain COL (RET) Sonny Moore officiating.

He leaves behind his son, Ashley W. LeCompte (Tami) of Tipton, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Kelly LeCompte and Jeremy LeCompte of Kinton, Alabama; and one great-grandchild, Ivy Rose LeCompte. Donell is survived by his siblings, Shirley LeCompte (Judy) of Eugene, Orgegon, Adrian LeCompte of Springfield, Oregon, Julian LeCompte (Vickie) of Enterprise, Alabama, Claire Hanson (Jeffrey) of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, L'Orianne Hallford of Dothan, Alabama, and Joye Anderson (Jimmy) of Coffee Springs, Alabama. Donell was preceded in death by his parents, Verne and Onie Joye LeCompte, and one sister, Frances Nelson. Donell was beloved by family as our 'Mr. Fix It". Donell loved his lifelong career as a machinist, owning and operating The Country Machine Shop. When he was not working, he enjoyed spending time with his "sweet son" Ashley, camping, line dancing, playing his home organ, membership in the Woodmen of the World, and sharing meals with family and or friends at the Mt. Pleasant Senior Citizens Center.
