Elizabeth Ramona “Mona” Barker Cook, of Enterprise, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at home with her loving family by her side.Mona was born in Sylvester, Georgia, to the late Priscilla Priest Wever and Clarence Roosevelt Barker. She was a 1956 graduate of Clay County High School, in Green Cove Springs, Florida, where she was a member of the Beta Club and Future Business Leaders of America. She lived most of her adult life in Norfolk, Virginia, where she worked for and retired from Tidewater Regional Transit Co. in payroll.Ms. Cook moved to Enterprise in 2008 and was a member of Grace Place Church, Enterprise. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch and jigsaw puzzles on her computer.Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving stepfather, Stuart H. Wever, Sr.Survivors include her son, Jon Thomas Cook (Tammy House) of Virginia Beach, VA; granddaughter, Jessica Nicole Sharman (Austin) of Newport News, VA; twin great-granddaughters, Dahlia and Juniper Hare of Newport News, VA; brothers, Stuart H. Wever, Jr. (Mary) of Tampa, FL; Floyd K. Wever (Patricia) of Enterprise; Warren Barker (Pat) of Front Royal, VA; two sisters: Cheryl Jan Wever of Enterprise, and Norma Hutchison (Hutch) of Mayo, FL; her special niece and goddaughter, Kristin Leigh Wever Brown (Tony) of Kennett Square, PA; numerous nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.The family wishes to thank Kindred Hospice, Encompass Health Home Care, Enterprise Health and Rehabilitation Center, Medical Center Enterprise and Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory for their loving, compassionate care.There are no services planned.
