Earlean Stevens Godwin

Mrs. Earlean Stevens Godwin of New Brockton, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Enterprise Health and Rehabilitation. She was 93.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at El Bethel Assembly of God Church with Pastor Steve Comer, Reverend Tanner Berry, and Reverend Chris Lasseter officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Tabernacle Church Cemetery, 11592 Highway 51, New Brockton, with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am and continuing until service time.

Mrs. Godwin was born July 1, 1931, in New Brockton, Alabama, to the late Otis and Mattie Lee Stevens. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil H. Godwin; brothers, Talmadge, Gillis, and John Stevens; and sisters, Edna Blocker, Vonnie Brantley, and Jerry Alorda.

Survivors include her children, Cecilia Hall, Gayla Hollis (Jerry), Nelda Bailey (Dave), and Joe Godwin (Patti); nine grandchildren, Braxton Raley (Alexis), Brittany Berry (Mark), Brantley Raley (Je), Chelsey McCollough (Brandon), Heath Hollis (Britne), Whitney Richards (Dent), Ashley Chappell (Kendall), Dajun Godwin (Jamie), and Rowan Godwin (Abby); and 15 great-grandchildren, Trenton Berry (Katee), Tanner Berry (Scotlyn), Savannah Raley, Salinger Raley, Logan Raley, Asher Raley, Madden Raley, Bo McCollough, Bryce McCollough, Lane Hollis, Kristian Prettyman, David Ray Chappell, Raif Chappell, Giovanah Lemon, and Bridger Godwin; and great-great-grandchild, Grant Parker Berry.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Old Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 11592 Highway 51, New Brockton, AL 36351.
