Earl Allen Massey

Mr. Earl Allen Massey, of Enterprise, Alabama, passed away Monday, May 25, 2026, at his residence. He was 72 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise, with visitation beginning at 10AM prior to the service. Other service details will be announced once finalized.

Earl was born August 14, 1953, in Oswego, New York, to the late Woodrow Wilson Massey and Lena Syphia Massey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Woodrow Wilson Massey, Jr., Louis A. Massey, Rocky L. Massey, and Donald Towsley; sister, Diana Morelli; brother-in-law, Frances B. Brown; and sister-in-law, Pat Massey.

Earl was known as a hard worker who believed in staying busy. Even throughout retirement, he continued working two jobs, something that reflected both his strong work ethic and determination. He loved his family deeply, especially his grandchildren and great grandson, who brought him tremendous joy. He also enjoyed traveling to New York to spend time with extended family and treasured those visits and memories.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Massey; his longtime partner, Kim Howard; two sons, Jason Massey and wife Destiny, and Earl Allen Massey and wife Brenda; two brothers, James P. Massey of St. Joseph, Florida, and Bobby Massey (Nancy) of Brewerton, New York; two sisters, Gertrude Brown (James D. Rex, Sr.) of Loche, New York, and June Ferguson (Paul) of Solvay, New York; along with 18 grandchildren, a great grandson, and many extended family members and friends.
