Donnie Stevens

Donnie Stevens passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021 in New Brockton, Alabama.  He was 84.

A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Enterprise, Alabama with Dr. Michael Mynatt officiating with Sorrells Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 9:00 a.m. and continue until time of service.

Mr. Stevens was born in Dublin, Georgia, on December 19, 1936, to the late Louie Stevens and Hazel Hornsby Stevens.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his late wife, Angie Stevens, and his daughter, Donna Stevens Parker.  He was a dedicated husband and father who loved his family, cars, and Auburn football.  He also served as a deacon at Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Linda Stevens of New Brockton; a daughter, Cheri Mertins (Mike) of Pensacola, Florida; a step-daughter, Leanne Ramsey (Mike) of Margaret, Alabama; grandchildren Matt, Lindsey, Justin (Taylor), Tyler (Asheleigh), Heather, Jennifer (Brian), and Todd; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Hillcrest Baptist Church Homebound Ministry or Hillcrest Baptist Church Library at 500 Alberta Street, Enterprise, Alabama.
