Donald Vaughn, Sr.

Donald E. Vaughn, Sr. of Dothan passed away Wednesday February 17, 2021.  He was 83.

A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Meadowlawn Cemetery with CH (COL-R) Sonny Moore officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise directing.  In case of bad weather, the service will be held at the funeral home.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m.  Facial masks and social distancing are required to attend these events.

Mr. Vaughn was born in Elba, Alabama on April 17, 1937.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul E. and Lola Vaughn and brother, Royce Vaughn.  He served in the U.S. Army for 26 years and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer (CW4).

He is survived by his wife, Helen Whitman Vaughn; his children, Kimberly Vaughn Kirkland of Dothan, AL, Angela Vaughn Moodt (Joe) of Elizabethtown, KY and Donald Vaughn, Jr. of Dothan, AL; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
