Donald Waters Foley

Donald Waters Foley passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 at his home in the New Hope community of Coffee County, Alabama after an extended illness. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2018 at St. John Baptist Church in Jack with Rev. John McCrummen and Rev. Mack King officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 4 – 6 p.m. Donald was born July 15, 1937. He was retired from the U.S. Armed Forces and retired from Civil Service (ALMD) at Ft. Rucker, AL. Mr. Foley was preceded in death by his parents, Plez & Estelle Foley, and a son Byron J. Foley, sisters Mary Foley Burke (Billy Ray) of Gantt, AL, and Wayne Foley Flowers (Carroll) of Elba, AL. Survivors include his wife, Lula Bess “Betty” Foley; one daughter, Donna Lynn Foley McCrummen (James); two sisters, Murlene Foley Manring (Bud), and Sarah Foley Gibbs (Billy); one sister-in-law, Merle Downing of Lake City, FL; three grand children, Aaron B. Cotter (Julie), Sloan N. McCrummen, and Travis J. McCrummen; two great grand children, Lainey Bess Owsley & Caroline Cotter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
