Diane Brewster Root

Diane Brewster Root, age 57, of Hartford, passed away on August 26, 2025.

She was born on September 11, 1967, to the late Thomas and Beryl Brewster. Diane will be remembered as a woman who loved deeply and lived fully. A member of Indian Hills Baptist Church, she had a strong faith and a joyful spirit. She found peace in the outdoors, enjoyed fishing, and cherished the companionship of her beloved dog, “Jo.” Above all, she loved her family! She laughed often, loved big, and created a lifetime of memories with those closest to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Kyle Doll; and her brother, William Brewster.

Left to treasure her memory are her loving adventure partner, Michael Sims; her daughter, Stacey Smith and Paige Root; and her cherished grandchildren, Jonathan, Brandon, Gunter, Isabella, Adaline, and Paige, along with several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, June Palmer (Gary), and her brothers, Tom Brewster (Melba Harcus) and Titus Brewster (Mary). Along with serveral nieces and nephews.

Memorialization will be by cremation, with a private family service to be held at a later date.

Diane’s legacy of love, laughter, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
