Deborah Anne Lilly, 48, passed away on November 4, 2026, in Daleville, Alabama.
Born in Wintersville, Ohio, on October 1, 1978, Deborah spent part of her childhood growing up in Scotland, an experience that helped shape her curiosity about the world and her appreciation for its many cultures.
Deborah loved to travel and was grateful for the opportunity to see as much of the world as she could. Along the way, she found joy in the arts and in the beauty, history, and creativity she encountered in different places. Her travels were more than visits to new destinations; they reflected her openhearted interest in people and the world around her.
She also loved animals and had a caring nature, always wanting to help others. Through her work in customer service and hospitality, Deborah spent her life meeting people and offering kindness in everyday moments. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Enterprise.
Deborah was preceded in death by her mother, Glenys Slater Lilly; her grandmother, Mabel Slater; and her beloved dog of 11 years, Sadie Mae.
She is lovingly remembered by her father, James Lilly, and his wife, Mireille; her brother, Tom Lilly, and his wife, Nikki; a very special aunt, Liz Hightower, and her husband, Tim; Larry and Becky Holmes; as well as her Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Enterprise work family and community friends.
Her family and all who knew her will remember her adventurous spirit, her affection for the arts, and the compassion she showed to people and animals alike. Her life leaves behind memories of faraway places, meaningful encounters, and the quiet goodness she shared with others.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 13, 2026, at 11AM in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory, with Reverend Zachary Greenwell officiating. Cremation will follow. The family will receve friends from 10AM until service time.
While flowers are welcome. Those wishing to make a donation in Deborah’s memory may contribute to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 123 Heath Street, Enterprise, AL 36330, or Christian Mission, 231 Geneva Highway, Enterprise, AL 36330.
