Darrell DeWayne Tyler of Samson, Alabama passed away March 20, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was 63.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home at 2PM on the 5th of April 2024 with Rev. Greg Lay officiating, and Sorrells Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Darrell was born November 20, 1960 in Cullman, Alabama to the late Earl and Martha Tyler. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Teresa Lynn Tyler.
Darrell was a fun loving up beat kind of guy. He loved to laugh and make others laugh. He was quite good looking and popular in school. He was also a star player for the Coffee Springs Golden Bears football team. People came from all around to watch the “Tyler Boys” play football. He loved watching his boys play sports, playing video games with family, golfing, drag racing, woodworking, Alabama football and spoiling his dogs. Darrell also had a heart for helping others. He was a born again Christian who loved reading his Bible and leading others to Christ.
Survivors include his sons Darrell LaDon Tyler of Montgomery, Alabama and Caleb Franklin Tyler of Andalusia, Alabama. Sister Deborah Rene’ Wise of Enterprise, Alabama and brother Jeffery Edward Tyler of New Brockton. Granddaughter Harper Rayne Tyler and a niece and three nephews.
