CW4 David A. Clinansmith (Ret) passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024 in Dothan, Alabama. He was 84.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 20, 2024 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise, Alabama with Reverend Timothy Davis and Reverend Slade Stenson officiating. Burial will follow at the Ino Baptist Church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am and continuing until service time.

David was born December 4, 1939 in Michigan to the late Arthur B. and Kennetha O. Hislop Clinansmith. He served his country in the United States Army for 35 years before his retirement. He loved woodworking, old trucks and tractors.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Peggy Clinansmith; daughter, Carla C. Franklin (Chuck); brother, James O. Clinansmith; sister, Alice Marlow (Mike Dockham); grandchild, Cameron Franklin.
