Charlotte Mock

Mrs. Charlotte Mock of New Brockton, Alabama, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025. She was 71.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Kerry Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM until service time.

Charlotte was born April 16, 1954, in Alabama to the late Oscar Willard and Sara Evelyn Adams. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Eugene Mock, and her son, Michael Nelson Spangenberg.

As a faithful, godly woman, Charlotte enjoyed life to the fullest. She faithfully attended Calvary Baptist Church for many years. She loved beautiful flowers as well as animals of all kinds. She was a dedicated employee working as a statistician with the Army Corp of Engineers for 35 years before retiring. Anyone who knew her also knew how much she loved her family.

Survivors include her daughters, Jessica A. Cook (Charles “Tommy” Strain) of Elba and Alaina Cook of New Brockton; son, Joseph Lee Spangenberg of New Brockton; brother, Terry Adams; mother-in-law, Merelois Mock of Elba; and seven grandchildren, Sidney Spangenberg, Adam Spangenberg, Abigail Cook, Jessie Strain, Stephen Ballard, Everly Ballard, and Erin Ballard.
