Charlotte Fairchild

Mrs. Charlotte Fairchild of Daleville, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at home surrounded by family. She was 82 years old.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Meadowlawn Cemetery in Enterprise with Reverend Leon Adams officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing.

Mrs. Fairchild was born March 2, 1944, in Elba, Alabama, to the late James Albert and McDaniel and Susie Mae Helms McDaniel. Mrs. Fairchild was a retired seamstress. She enjoyed life cooking for holiday family gatherings and gardening.

Mrs. Fairchild is survived by her husband of 46 years, Francis M. Fairchild; daughter, Terri L. Doughtie and her son, Steven Douglas, of Opp; stepdaughters, Kimberly D. Fairchild Ingram (Frank) of Ariton, Alabama, and Kristy L. Fairchild Summers (Israel) of Headland, Alabama; sister, Sara Hellen Petterson (Richard) of Crockett, Texas; seven grandsons; one granddaughter; three great-grandsons; and 6 great-granddaughters.
