Mr. Charles Thomas Walsh, of Enterprise, Alabama went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday morning, July 9, 2026 in Enterprise Alabama surrounded by his loving family. He was 93.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Monday, July 13, 2026 at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Enterprise with Dr. Michael Mynatt and Reverend Jim Duhaime officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday prior to the service beginning at 9:00 am and continuing until service time.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Hillcrest Baptist Church Building Fund, 500 Alberta St. Enterprise, Alabama 36330
Mr. Walsh was born March 31, 1933 in Massachusetts to the late Thomas J. and Beatrice Kosmider Walsh. He served his country in the United States Army, and was a member at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Enterprise where he served as treasurer for 45 years. Charles also worked at DynCorp Aviation Maintenance for 34 years. He enjoyed watching and attending sporting events for Enterprise High School, ESJC, and Auburn University, as well as watching the Atlanta Braves baseball games.
In addition to his parents, his wife Hazel Walsh; son Ronald Walsh; and brother-in-law, Todd Cieboter all preceded him in death.
Survivors include his sons, Michael Walsh (Karen) of Greenwood, Indiana, Jeffrey Walsh (Renee) of Eufaula, Alabama; grandchildren: Kimberly Walsh, Kaitlyn Walsh both of Greenwood Indiana, Kevin Walsh (Elizabeth) of Weilerbach, Germany, Kathy Phillips (Stephen) of Enterprise, Alabama, Mark Walsh (Olivia) of Huntsville, Alabama, Ashton Terry (Collin) of Greer, South Carolina, Matthew Walsh (Annabelle) of Woodbridge, Virginia; daughter-in-law, Melanie Walsh of Dothan, Alabama; sisters: Marilyn James (Howie) of Ludlow, Massachusetts, Sandy Cieboter of Feeding Hills, Massachusetts.
The family would like to thank all of the nurses and personel at the CSM Bennie G. Adkins Veterans Home, and Jessica McCallister and staff at Gentiva Hospice.
