Camillie L. Thompson

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Camillie L. Thompson, who departed this life on April 23, 2025, at Dale Medical Center in Ozark, Alabama, at the age of 53.

Born on Christmas Day in 1971 in Newport News, Virginia, Camillie was the beloved daughter of Author L. Thompson and Brenda J. Robinson Thompson. Her family’s military background meant she grew up moving often, developing a warm and adaptable spirit. Eventually, her family settled in Enterprise, Alabama, where she attended and graduated from Enterprise High School in the Class of 1989.

Camillie pursued further education and dedicated herself to her work as an administrative assistant at Medical Center Enterprise. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother to her two sons, Brendan J. Walker and Malachi J. Walker, and a cherished sister. Camillie’s vibrant personality and love for music made her a social butterfly. She never met a stranger and could light up any room with her infectious smile and genuine kindness.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Brenda J. Robinson Thompson. She is survived by her father, Arthur L. Thompson (DeLois), her children, Brendan and Malachi, her sisters Dianne Thompson Walker (Joseph), Erica Thompson, Artresa Thompson, and Elga Wynn. Camillie’s warmth and spirit are also remembered by her nephew, Blayne E. Walker, and niece, Mikalya Huntley.

A private graveside memorial service will be held at Meadowlawn Cemetery on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 10AM, where family and friends will gather to honor her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation at the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741 or the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA) 375 Kings Highway North, Suite B Cherry Hill, New Jersey 08034  in honor of Camillie’s compassionate spirit.

Camillie’s joyful presence and love for life will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
